I have a 1951 Super C and the paint is fading out and it almost looks like the paint underneath is white. My brother does alot of painting and body work and he doesn't think it is primer. Is there anyother way to tell by a serial number if this was a demostrator model or not. Thanks Andre'

I don't believe any Super C's were painted as a demonstrator. The Super C's had a six digit serial number.

Serial numbers from the 1st quarter of 1950 when the white C's were produced, if yours was a 51 it was not white: 47010-54411. At that time IH did not use primer, but hard telling what has been done to it since then. Some tractors did have a whte sealer on the cast parts, in case there was a leak or a seep.
