Thanks for info on A15/D21. One more thing, someone before me put in the D21 plugs and they also have 2 washers on three of them. Any idea why someone would do that?

George, Adding an extra plug washer is one "Old Farmers Trick" to make the plug run hotter. Ive seen it done when the plugs are fouling but its sort of a band aid fix like when they add an extra lil air gap in the plug wire to the plug to make a partly fouled plug go ahead n fire.

2 things come to mind on that. One is they could get the plugs to stop letting a little compression by pass out the ring which is a sort of a seal for the plug. Or they wanted to pull the hotter plug back and of the picton just a little to keep from burning a hole in it. You never know for sure unless you can talk to who ever did that and then sometimes they don't even know why they did it.

OR, the washer from the old plug was left in the hole, and a new plug with new washer was installed. It does happen.
