Have 53 super c with fast hitch, oil was covering deck so had block in front of seat removed by relative so I could pressure check at work 50 miles away! Found leak, fixed, got a weekend off to put back on hoses. What hose where? 50/50 chance? Hooked up wrong so switched the hoses at cyl. works as should by lever but now leaks down as never before. My question coming out of aux. valve in front of battery on right side to block on deck is there a difference?

Mine is routed like this:

From the fitting leaving the front of the control valve, the line goes to the check block fitting near the middle of the block, to the left (if you're seated on the tractor) of the other line; the other line (right side) goes to the control valve fitting that exits the rear of the valve.

At the rear of the check block, the line goes from the left side (again, from seated on the tractor) to the fitting on the top left side of the hydraulic cylinder; the right side line goes to the right side fitting on top of the cylinder.

Plumbed up this way, if you push the lever forward, it raises the hitch; pulling it toward you lowers the hitch (slowly).

Good luck,
Bill

The block on the deck is a check valve. It holds hitch/implement in up position. If lines are hooked up incorrectly I believe it would cause the problem you describe.
