I've got a 1942 H Farmall and a set of cultivators to go with it but they are currently not mounted. I have no experiance with this implement so my question is how narrow of a row can these cultivators be set for? Would like to go to 30" or possibly 28" rows. Thanks

First you will need to set your front wheels as narrow as possible. What knod of rims do you have? If they have the metal brackets with a bolt holding the wheel to the cast ris they would be fixed. If yours have the loops on the rim that are fixed you can adjust the tread width. Mount the cult to the frame of the tractor then see if you can adjust the gangs so they will clear the distance you need for 30in row. You will maye have to change the shant that the shovel mounts on. You should have shanks with an offset. Then using the ones that will move the two inside shovels less than 30in it will work.
