I have been reading posts from this site for a while. I wanted to show you my tractor. My dad passed away a year ago and left me this tractor. I grew up with this tractor and another A with a lift, an H, M, F12, a Super C, 656, and a Case 530. This tractor had a blown head gasket when I got it. This picture is the day before I took it to get fixed. Dad rebuilt the engine but didn't get the head tight enough. Dad also painted it with spray cans. At some point I would like to give it a good paint job. My neighbor wants me to do some light pulling work for him. It will be fun for my kids to "play" with the tractor like I did at their age. As far back as I can remember we always owned this old tractor. Here she is, Ron.

I was not sure if I should post the picture thanks for doing it. The tractor is a 1941. I don't know what year dad got it. The tractor has a Mag and a starter. It never had lights or a generator. I know we were not the first owners, but I don't know who was. I pulled pipe trailers, harrows, and more than anything rock picking trailers, and bean rakes with this tractor. The other A was set up for a bean cutter. The 530 was the cultivator. The M pulled a disk, roller harrow, and hay trailer. We stacked hay by hand then. The H was not used much, it would turn one way but not the other. The super C we had only a little while. The block cracked and dad got the A with the bean cutter. Too bad a guy can't make a living like that any more. Ron

That tractor's sheet metal looks very nice. It would be easy to give it a paint job. Hal

I know the feeling. I have my dad's first tractor, a '44 H that he bought when I was a week old. All through my life I was told it would be mine some day. My dad passed away in 2001 and it is now in my shed.
