I have a 1944 Farmall A and the ID. tag is no longer on the carburetor. I called Valubuilt today to order a kit but not sure which one. Mine is the Zenith Distillate Carburetor. Can someone tell me what number on this carb so Valubuilt can cross reference it? Thanks. Larry

For the Super A (I assume the A is the same, but you better check) there are two Zenith carbs. A 67x7, IH distillate number 357156R91, and a 161x7, IH 48616 DC. The latter is the one used on the early Super A's so it is more likely the one you have, UNLESS it has been changed. Where the throttle body attaches to the bowl on the 161x7 the gasket, bowl, and throttle are round in front of the place where the venturi is. The same parts on a 67x7 has an extension in front of the venturi. The air intake on the 161x7 has a smaller diameter than the 67x7 and the connecting hose to the air cleaner butts up against a lip on the carb. The 67x7's air intake is smooth and does not have the lip. My recommendation is if you have a nearby Case-IH dealer, to take the carb, or at least the bowl gasket and have him look it up. Or, call Carter and Gruenewald, 866-327-6255, and have them send you one. Unless you can tell VB for sure which one you have.

Thanks, CNKS, mine is the 48616 DC and it does have the lip where the air cleaner hose butts up against. VB could not cross reference the 48616 DC number. That's why I thought there might be another number. He said most of the Zenith numbers started with 6. I think that is the crossed reference number. I'll call tomorrow and tell him what I found or I'll call C&G as you suggested. Thanks, again.

I took my '53 SA carb to the dealer today..it is marked 375560R91.

The lady working there has been there a long time and she took one look at it and went after the parts. She said.."Oh, it's a 560, got the parts right here."

Now I don't know a 560 from a XYZ...but she did instantly. It's a gas carb and has a lip where the breather tube attaches as well. I can't figure why all the variations of the same thing!
