Can anyone tell me the oil capacity of transmission and diff. on a Farmall H. Also is hydraulic oil reservoir and transmission seperate. I have noticed several drain and fill plugs and am unsure. Do you recommend Hy-Tran in transmission and diff if seperate. Thanks Rick

One other thing. The transmission and rear end use the same fill (on the right of the shifter and steering post) and check plug (next to the clutch pedal) but they have separate drains. If you're changing the oil you have to open them both.
I think.

The transmission and differential are one unit. The hydraulic oil reservoir and transmission/diff. are seperate. Use 6 gal. of 80w90 gear oil in the trany/diff., and 6 quarts of hydraulic oil in the hydraulic reservoir.
