I am repairing the front end on a 1943 "H" and would like to know where to find replacement parts. I am looking for the brass or bronze bushings that are on the upper and lower ends of the vertical steering shaft in front of radiator. Also need the thrust bearing thats located on lower part of same shaft. Would really appreciate any help here. Thanks Richard

I would most definitely suggest seeing the dealer on this one. I recently rebuilt the front bolster on my H and the OEM parts were not expensive at all...that included all the bushings you have listed. Not to mention the peace of mind knowing OEM parts are going to fit right the first time.

I ordered mine from Carter & Gruenwald. They ship anywhere are are always helpful.

Just my two pennies worth!

Good luck!

Billy

Take micrometer measurements of what you need. If you have a bearing supply company close by, talk with them, usually they can get what you need at a much cheaper price then the dealers. Did this once for king pin bushings for my MM Z, $20.00 I think for all new front end bushings..... ...
