Hi Pete, the German build 239D engine was used in UK built 574,674,684,695, US built 544, German built 724, 833.
The HP can range from about 50 to 70 depending on the setting on the injection pump.

It's a D-239. 239 cubic inches, built at IH's factory in Neuss, Germany. It's the 4-cylinder version of the D-358 used in many 90 horsepower IH's. The 55 horsepower 544 was the first U.S. built tractor to use the D-239, in 1968. It was used extensively in the British built utility tractors. Case-IH was still building it up until about 8-10 years ago.
