bill: I hesitated on this somewhat as I haven't seen all after market front ends. The part that bolts to tractor on IH factory front ends was always cast. I'm not sure about all the after market front ends, but the one's I have seen are fabricated steel. That is the part that bolts to tractor and the axle pivots on.

Thanks for info Hugh. I also found out that IH has a part or cast number about middle ways down the frontend. Bill

The factory Super M front will have a cast pivot that bolts to a 5/8" steel plate with two support rods that hook to the frame rails. It will also have tie rods out the front instead of being behind the axle tube.
