Hey guys I have a stupid question. I bought a reman turbo about three month ago for my 1066. I used it on the tractor this last fall. A couple of week a go it started to leak oil out of the ehaust. At first it was a little drip a few days later it was about a quart in a half hour. So I called the Case dealer that sold me the turbo. They ordered a new one. They sent the old one in for warrenty the company said that they would warren the turbo. They also said that my motor was leakin oil in the ehaust. my question is do I have a problem with the motor or is the turbo the cause of the oil in the ehaust. The old turbo had a bearing out of it and the seal on the intake side was bad.

Thank

Jon

Make sure your air filter is new with the new turbo. The vacum in the intake side can suck that seal out if it's too much. Unburned diesel will also look like oil, if you don't get it up to operating temp it will slobber out of the expansion part of exhaust. Like ejr-IA said.

Whats it like now with the different turbo?Did it have oil inside the manifold or unburnt diesel fuel?Hopefully it was the seals in the turbo.
