What is the average market value of a Super A and a Super C with fast hitch and a wide front? I was thinking a Super A would be in the range of $2500 and the Super C would be in the range of $2500 to $3000. However, the prices I see are somewhat higher. Am I out of touch with prices?

I think C's are cheap. I have a nice running SC with finders and fast hitch, good rear tires. It even has a nice 72 inch finish mower on the fast hitch. I can't get any offers over 1700. A friend has a SC with fast hitch with nice paint & runs great that he 2100 in to it. The best offer he has had is 1300. The guys that complain about tractor prices being to high should be buying C's and H's

Larry,
If you are near eastern TN then I too may be able to sell the SC for you.

Larry,

Where you located? I'm in western NY. Might be able to sell that Super C for ya.

Those would be "average" prices for restored tractors in perfect condition.

Basket cases are worth anywhere from $0 to $500.

Running tractors that need some work to get them fieldwork ready are going to range from $1000 to $2000, depending on how bad they are. Tractors that need engine work and/or transmission work will be at the lower end of the scale, while a tractor that REALLY just needs paint (never believe the seller when he says "just needs paint," cuz the head's probably cracked, the cam lobes are probably rounder than the crank journals, and it probably uses more oil than gas) will be on the high end of the scale. Bad paint jobs REDUCE the value of the tractor, but idiots still insist on brushing acrylic latex on the hood, claiming "fresh paint," and charging extra.

Mind you this is just for the tractor. Any implements will add to the price.

"Bad paint jobs reduce the price of the tractor" That should be required reading for anyone planning to sell a tractor at auction or anywhere else. I fully agree.
