Hi,
We have a 350 utility with factory power steering, and no T/A. We bought a 350 fast hitch and it bolted up just fine. We went to hook up hydraulics using an add on valve (after market), but, it didn't work. So we bought a IH three valve and the stock hydraulic blocks off a 350. We have a 350 fast hitch maintenance manual to see where they recommend tapping the hydraulics. Problem is that the lower fitting currently has the power steering line running out of it.
Is there a standard way to plumb into the same port as the power steering, like a 2 way connector? Or is there a second high pressure place to pull from? The fast hitch book didn't have one with power steering.

any help would be appreciated, such as a picture
just email me mangra1@hotmail.com
Thanks
robert in Oklahoma city

First, when viewing from back of tractor..Regulator mounted to resiviore first then control valve. regulator should have two ports out of the back end one small port (to ps unit)and one larger port(to right side of control valve(T).OFF OF (T) TO FRONT CONTROL VALVES. Next.. back control valve should have a check valve mounted to bottom of it,off the left side of check valve there are two ports they go to hyd lift cylinder.I hope you can understand this.good luck

Seems to me you need a parts book to sort out the hardware you will need. All the stock hydraulic options and configuations will be listed and illustrated. I always consult my parts books when working on my tractors.

eBay has a IH 340U flow control/priority valve currently listed. Search for "IH 340U valve"

Hi Robert,

I've never been around those utility tractors, but I can tell you if you are using the same hydraulic source for both purposes, you have to have a flow divider behind the pump and ahead of the load(s) to insure that the power steering gets priority, while at the same time providing power for your hitch.

Just running a "T" won't work because one load will rob function from the other.

If you have the factory "live" pump, then it sounds like you just need the flow divider valve plumbed in ahead of that power steering.

I found this picture, but it kind of hides where the hydraulics hook to.
