Farmall H 4th gear

Hi, My H don't stay in 4th gear all others are OK exept the 5th that will disengage once in a while. What could be the problem? How to fix it?

If it's only the shifter, you will be very lucky!! More likely some worn out bearings and/or gears. Fixing those requires removing top from the transmission, removing the hydraulic lift all unit and disconnecting the main drive shaft and that is just the start.

Probably the shifter is worn down inside so it isn't pushing all the way into gear. Either try a new shifter or build the end of the one you have up a little with weld until it is back to normal thickness again.
