I need a grill for my old but good IH464. The 464 has got to be one of the most handy sized and useful tractors around. I use it more than newer and bigger ones. I could use (actually need) the grill and sheet metal around it. Can anyone tell me if any of the grills off other size old IHs will fit? Many thanks.

Hi Piller, the 464 should share grills with 454, 574, 674 as these were all the same UK made but could be assemble in US models.

I think a grill would be available from an IH dealer, but very expensive and only plastic available. A friend had a 464 with a broken cast metal grill. I did some checking a few months back and found a source, but he ended up repairing the one he had.

Thanks for the feedback, if I could find a cast one I would rather have that. Mine was plastic and it went quick.

A good sheet metal shop can probably make one using your old one as a pattern. If this isn't possible, here's a web site for salvage yards. Hal

Don't think so. The 464 grill is cast metal, or cast plastic. A sheet metal shop could make the perforated plate insert screen, but not the grill frame which is what I think is needed here. Of course something could be made to fit, but it would not look original.
