Somebody please tell this green horn what a deadmans throttle is I have no idea. Forgive me...

Throttle is spring loaded so that it will automatically go back to idle. Some have it where it will kill the tractor.

the local pulling org. is requiring a deadmans throttle if you pull a tractor with any kind of engine mods. Thanks for the input!!!

Usually a deadman means if you let go or fall off,the engine will quit...like on a racing ATV with a tether.Of course if tractors have them,I'm sure not aware of it.1955 vintage tractors sure didnt come with them!
