350 Utility Oil Leak

I am the new owner of a 350 Utility Tractor I picked up at auction. The only problem I have with it is a hydralic leak that is coming from 2 holes in the bottom of the tractor directly underneath the battery. It is a steady drip that sometimes actually pours when I stop the tractor. It is obviously a internal leak but I am not sure what is located beneath the battery. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows what could be leaking out these holes. I was thinking it might be a transmission leak of some sort but the fluid seems clean like my hydralic fluid and does not seem to have the smell of transmission fluid. I did need to add hydralic fluid under the seat when I got it and the transmission was actually overfilled when I checked it. I hope it is a easy fix but do not want to tear into at this time if it is too involved. Any Ideas??

Thanks

Jeff

Directly below the battery is the TA compartment. It has two holes where excess transmission fluid drains out when the fluid level is too high. The fluid comes out on either side of the bottom of the casting from holes in flat-bottomed "notches" in the otherwise curving casting.

If the "leak" you see is coming out of these holes, this is where your tractor is getting rid of the fluid from the overfilled transmission you noted. It will really pour out if you're working rough ground, or going downhill. Messy, but not a problem as far as your tractor is concerned.

That sounds like its coming from the clutch housing which would mean the trans/TA input seal is leaking. The trans uses Hy Tran with TA,so its not going to look like 80/90 gear lube.
