Will a fast hitch from a 460 fit an MTA, or do I need one from a 560?

If you want an accurate hitch for the Mta,One from a 400 with the early style fast hitch(with the belly cylinder) would be the one.

SMTA same size housing as 560. 460 will not fit. 400, 450, or 560 will fit.

Harold,

All of the 400 hitches Iīve seen were different than the 450. I didnīt think a 400 hitch would bolt on to a SMTA.

We have put 400 hitches on 450's, many years ago, so I would think they would work on a SMTA. I believe my memory is correct on this but I can't guarantee it.

Harold: You are right and he is right. 400 hitch will fit 450, but not SMTA. SMTA is not drilled for the lift arm pivot.

460-560 style doesn't have left arm pivot?

Tom: Some may have been discussing 460-560, I was not. All I am saying is SMTA was not drilled for it thus any fast hitch mounted on an SMTA must come from a 450 or 560. The 400 type hitch will not bolt up, and that pivot is the problem. Shame in a way as the 400 hitch was by far the best hitch.
