I'm looking to do some business with Mathis Equipment and Tractor Salvage in Missouri. Anybody have any reports of past dealings with them? They seem to be very knowledgable...

I have known Mark Mathis for several years. He & his family are good folks. He will shoot straight with you on anything you deal with.

Mathis is 12 miles or so south of Macon. I am 10 miles east of Macon.

Mr. old,

Cairo, Missouri.
It's about 150 miles N of St Louis - kinda NW, I believe. I've got some contact info if you want it. Just did a trade on a Char-Lynn torque converter. Mark seemed very appreciative that I sent a money order rather than a check. (Did that to speed up the whole process) What I hear, so far, is that he's good to deal with.

Old, Illinois Boy's directions are a bit misleading. Mathis Salvage is about 45 miles north of Columbia, Mo on Hwy 63. Just north of Moberly. That's not all that far from Camdenton. Tom

BDC - Sorry,
But that's what Mark told me... I really don't know as I've never been to his place.
I'm pretty sure he said approx 150 miles NW of St Louis, but I could be wrong - just ask my wife!!
I was so elated to find the part, I was considering driving there to get it. You know - to heck with directions - I'll find you - how much is the torque converter?!?!
Maybe I should look it up on Mapquest, Although, postage is much cheaper than gas these days and I have another tractor to use...
