Found what the owner calls an O-4, never saw one before. He is wanting $1800 for it. Runs and drives well. Is missing all the orchard sheet metal that covers the rear wheels and back of the tractor. I can imagine it would be hard to find. The rest of it is there, but needs work. Looks like it sat outside, as most of the paint is off it. Rear tires not bad, but are weather checked, fronts need replaced. Looked up the serial number and found it is a 49 model. I have no idea what it is worth? What do you think?

When I read about how scarce the Side Shields & Fenders are on these old babies, it makes me appreciate mine more & more. Shes 58 yrs old & still purrs like a kitten. Never did get fat & ugly.

As people often say, it's worth what you want to pay for it. O4s are relatively rare, but sheet metal is VERY hard to find and if you find some, it may cost as much as the tractor. I've been looking for sheet metal for an O6 for several years without much luck.

I agree that it is overpriced. Finding the orchard sheet metal that is missing is next to impossible.

I think the asking price may be a bit on the high side. You are right about the orchard sheetmetal, it will be very hard to find, although I'm not sure that all of them had the full dress orchard fenders?
