Well, I'm minding my own business today (getting a little holliday time at work), and this semi tractor with a couple of old tires on the flatbed rolls in. I got to meet a new old friend named Harley. Now Harley is a Missourian and I am an Iowan and usualy there-in lies a parting of the ways as to how we view the world. Come to find out though, Harley is a missplaced Iowan that married a Missouri girl (pretty redhead) and I am stubborn enough to have held my ground after marrying an (equivelantly beautiful) Missouri girl myself. We came eye to eye relatively quickly on one topic.

Allan..... You need mules.

Compaction is no longer a problem, horse power is easy to calculate, fertilizer self applies and they come in red. We're watching out for you buddy! Remember farming with a horse is always horse farming... working a mule allows you to half *ss farm and no one can argue the point. Harley aint giving up his dozer or M though. :? )

Sloroll, now you must relize there are Missourians, and Missouri Ozarkians. Now Harley is an Adopted Missouri Ozarkian, where as I am a Native Missouri Ozarkian. Ninty five percent of the girls are pretty, some pretter that others. I only live about 40 miles from Harley, have not met him yet ,but fully intend to. Where I live we have flat to gently rolling to serious hills. Were Harley lives if you go down the hill you can't go back up it like you came down.

Yup,Allan, 9 head of horses wont keep up with 9 head of mules on a 3 bottom plow.

Gee Whiz you Guys,

I'm still tryin' to emerse myself back into the old iron ways. Kinda remember the work horses, but don't think I have the capacity to learn the mules route too.

Nor the ambition, for that matter. :>)
