There's an abandoned I-9 for sale on e-bay just down the road from me. Smashed tin, no fuel tank, rear wheels stuck (thinking maybe frozen brakes), flat and nearly smooth tires. The back half of the poor thing appears to be covered with poison ivy. Listing also mentions that is missing the "magneedles". :-) Don't think I've ever seen one with magneedles. Wonder if they are hard to find? (yes, that's a joke)

Just in case I don't come to my senses, anyone ever try to drag one this heavy onto a trailer?

The best way would be to lift the tractor. You may be able free the brakes and winch it on. Be careful of the poison ivy. My former neighbor
was scratching in her flower beds and got that
all over her. She had to go to the hospital. My wife got the worst case by walking through the smoke when they were burning. Her eyes were swollen shut. Hal

Oh wow! ya, it does look a little rough. But it's that close you might wanna tackle it. not sure if W9 tin would fit it but might be worth a chance. I bet it don't drag to good with the wheels sliding. Can you get somebody with a bigger tractor to help you load? Or a trailer or tuck with HEAVY winch?

Only reason to even consider this is that it's only a couple of miles away. Unfortunately don't have time to contact the seller and go look at it prior to the end of the auction tonight. Even just to part it out would be a better fate than it's current state of affairs. Have a friend with a BIG Cat backhoe that could probably pick it up. Hard to tell from the pictures how bad it is stuck or if he could get close enough. Looks like it can only come forward with that tree behind.

Girlfriend just slapped me. She wants to know when I will get her a Cub. I think my head is clearing... ;-)
