Curious....does "TISCO" have anything to do with "Tractor Supply Company"? I figured TISCO means "Tractor and Implement Service Company",and not "Tractor Supply Co (TSC)",but it sure comes close to a coincidence.I would imagine that TSC,like Sears, makes nothing on its own and merely relabels somebody elses products.

TISCO= Tractor Implement Supply Company. They have been around for a long time with aftermarket parts and other products. Many implement dealers are also TISCO dealers. Go to woodsonline.com and can see the related companies. I don't think they are related to the TSC stores?

TISCO is a very big company and has been in business for over 70 years. They are now in partners with the Reliance Parts Corp. and the Donaldson Company. I think our local IH dealer sells their kits. Hal

At one time Sears only sold products that they held the controlling interest in. For a long time they never used Kohler or Briggs and Stratton
on their mowers or tractors. Just Tecumseh engines were available.

Exactly,Sears once sold HOMART household fixtures...they were made by Kaiser Metals(Henry J Kaiser fame),and one of the top Sears execs held a percentage of Kaiser.Much like their ALLSTATE car, which was Really a Henry J.

I would sure like to have one of those Frazier
cars. They were a nice car and good on gas back
then. Hal

Have a 51 Frazer Vagabond sitting in the shed behind my 300 ute. Dont drive it anymore but it was fun to drive and got good mileage with 3speed and overdrive. Mileage wasn't that important back then with cheap gas I guess. Will have to get the old girl out this summer and take a spin.

You should post a picture of the old girl. Which model was the most fancy of the Frazer models? Hal

PS: One of my former co-worker's has a Kaiser that he has restored. He usually takes it to Kinser PA in August for display. He has a 1955
Pontiac that he bought new too.

They used Continental 6 cylinder engines. They were at a disadvantage when everyone else went to V8s.They had a supercharged Kaiser for a couple years, but it didnt sell, and didnt add much HP.Joe Frazier had a huge disagreement with Henry Kaiser and thus his namesake car was dropped a year later. The last of the Fraziers were simply touched up Kaisers of the previous model year with some different styling treatments (these cars were already assembled as Kaisers,do it was done after the fact.Imagine that...nobody would get away with that nowadays).

I would say no they are not related. I can buy Tisco engine kits from several local parts houses.
