Hi Is IH paint Synthetic Enamel or Acrylic Enamel? Also what type of hardner should be used?

I use painters pride 747 hardener and painters pride acrylic reducer med dry.

Usually inexpensive equipment/fleet paints are Alkyd or Synthetic.They dont paint cars with these because of their lack of durability to UV exposure and fade/chalk readily.Autos will use Acrylic Enamels or Urethanes,as these are the most expensive paints.Normally,the low end paints are called Fleet,Tractor,or Equipment paints.These are for machinery that lives a hard life,and isnt a trailer queen or show tractor.
Much like you wouldnt paint an OCC chopper with Rustoleum.

Case/IH paint, I'm told is an acrylic modified, whatever that means. I do know that the hardner I've been using for a few years works great. It's NAPA #15117 Super Gloss acrylic hardner.

Case IH 2150 is a synthetic enamel. A synthetic enamal hardener should be used.

TRACTOR SUPPLY CARRIES INT. PAINT MADE BY VALSPAR. I HAVE USED THIS PAINT ON SOME FARMALLS AND BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH IT. THEY ALSO CARRY THE HARDNER THAT IS COMPATIABLE.AND I THINK YOU,LL LIKE THE PRICE.
