Well I finally got the old girl to fire after a rebiuld and lots of little fixes here and there. When it starts it runs full throttle. The throttle lever does'nt change the rpms at all. Did I get the throttle shaft off a turn? Or do I have other problems?

It sounds like the tang that hooks to the Carb from the govener rod is not inbetween the V in the carb. JON

Magman I think that is what it was. I just came back from the shop. I must not have been holding my mouth right when I put it together. I hope I got it this time. This thing is starting to make me think I need some of Allan's blood pressure pills. Just had the starter rebuilt and it just smokes and goes dead. We pulled it and it will fire right up.

Hey Todd,

Wait 'til ya make the trip thru the real estate/banker's offices.

My wife has been runnin' me up in the chute and applying the blood pressure medicine with the use of a balling gun. :>)

Alot of times the electrical smoking is just a bad loose connection I like to take the dremel in hard to get to places with a wire brush and clean all those brass connections real shinny. I have bought alot of starters that were suposed to be junk and cleanes the poist and wal la. JON
