I'm wanting to put a receiver hitch on my pickup, and I was wondering about getting a cushion insert. Does anyone here have any experience with them? We've got a cheapo cushion insert from TSC that seems to help a little on our plowtruck but I was wondering if the $200+ pricetag on a shuck is worth spending. Any opinions?

I've got a 1500 and no one sells a calss v for a dodge anyhow. You have a DMI brand insert? How much do they run I'm looking at $200 for a shuck.

Its not an insert its a regular DMI frame mounted cushion hitch but instead of a drawbar its a reese. You should be able to get the frame even if you have to make the brackets but it'll more-n-likely be more expensive the the shuck. David

I think I get it, it's a cushioned reese hitch, so any insert you use is cushioned? I also take that back draw-tight makes a classV

I have a Ford F-250 diesel that I use to tow a 10,000 lb equipment trailer. This is the main hauler for my tractors and I use a cushioned hitch. Before I bought the cushioned hitch I could really feel the trailer on rough roads. The cushioned hitch smoothed things out, so I feel a nudge instead of a slam. I don't remember the make of my insert, but it has urethane bumpers, and I grease the insert so it can slide easier.
