I am trying to get more hp out of my Super C. besides an overbore kit are there any other options. Can I use a cam from a C135 motor, C135 head, manifold, and carb? I only need PTO hp for mowing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

Overbore kit, 135 cam, shaved head, mild port matching, good valve job, drill the load jet on the carb a couple sizes. 36 PTO HP @540 PTO RPM will run like that just about forever.

Hi Chris...Wow, I am using the original C123 CID in my Super C and it has plenty of power and speed for bush hoggin. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the tractor will keep movin till the blades stop turnin...Oh well, did'nt mean to carry on about that but I don't know of a whole lot more you can do to yours for more power...good luck

Getting more power comes from more compression, or more displacement, or both. Either will mean money. If too much compression is achieved premium fuel will also need to be factored in. I'd sharpen the mower till it will fillet grasshoppers without their awareness. If sharp, possibly reducing the size of the mower or mowing more often would be good. There are over run clutches that fix the "keeps on moving" problem. Tractor stores, or this site's parts listings will serve, and they are cheeper than new grills and radiators. JimN
