Just wanted to say thank you to all you guys that reponded on this, giving me advice, support, etc. Marg. advises that with exception of that bit of chasing around the house idea, it was all quite sound advice. Thank you also to guys that sent personal e mails.

Been quite busy past couple of days. Doctor gave his blessing for me to go back to part time trucking job. My employer was quite happy as he had been using employment agency drivers that just didn't know our routes and routine.

Been holding the the blood sugar in the 6 to 8 range all week. I seem to be over the worst of getting acustomed to diet. I think I'm actually having bigger problem increasing my water consumption, but it sure helps with that hunger issue. I can't believe how much better I feel. This winter was the worst, but I see now my blood sugar may have been in the 9 to 10 range the past 5 years. When the Doc reined me in it was at 24.5. I was quite lucky. I was quite used to low blood sugar, knew the signs to watch for. Used a blood sugar tester for about 3 months 10 years ago, don't think I ever went over 6.5 back then.

My advice if your overweight, feeling like you want to sleep, but when you get there you don't sleep that well, cranky and grouchy. Just plain feeling no good. Go and have your blood sugar checked. There could be huge rewards for you.

Marg. claims it has already reduced the grocery bill. My gosh, what could be better than feeling fine with a fat wallet.

So, just what part of the chasing around the house didn't your missus think was sound advice? :<(

Seems to me it was only advice to get more exercise! :>) (For both of you!) LOL

Take care, and to quote Mr. Spock, "Live long and prosper!"

Paul: By Gosh your right. Not only that, I've done more with my tractors in the past two weeks, than in the previous 8 months. Planted my garden, got to have these fresh veggies now more than ever. Did quite a bit of fixing, way the grass is growing around here looks like mower is next. Even went out and bought two new front tires for the 130. Got two new rears for 140, 8 months ago and they are still standing in shop. I might even be feeling good enough for some competition plowing.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Too bad you are so far away. I've been lining up the neighbors to help with plowing. So far the Green (Oliver and JD) are out numbering the Red.

Don't believe everything that you hear. Women are well known for playing hard to get and actually like to be chased a little.

Greg

There are some proper procedures to follow in such a situation. First off, a plan is needed and should be written. Item one: never lose sight of your goal(s),i.e. what to do when (not if) you catch her. Two: in case memory is poor (CRS) refer to the written instructions that you made for yourself. Three: where in h**L did I put those instructions..... ..... QR

I had wondered...did they name the lead character on Green Acres "Oliver" after a tractor? The show was afterall, very heavily tractor oriented (The M-D model in the opening credits and the run down old Ford in the actual show).

Funny story on the show....They had planned to use the opening credits M-D model in the show, but Ford Motor Company who helped sponsor the show said NO,and an old dilapitated Ford was found to be the laughing stock of Hooterville (sorta backfired on Ford huh?).
In one episode,Mrs. Douglas buys a new tractor for Oliver's birthday, and it just happens to be an air conditioned, blue and white Ford (however, the names were changed on it for the show).

Mr. Douglas drove a John Deere GP in the opening of the show too.
