Please give me some help rewiring the lights on my C. The old wires won't just pull out and if they did, I don't think new ones would just slide in easily around that corner. Do I have to remove the round bars that the lights are mounted on? How? Are they threaded? I can see that each side has a small set screw but I can't believe that's the only thing holding those bars. Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks for the two excellent ideas, you guys ! I get a lot more satisfaction from this hobby by asking questions, reading the manuals, and fixing something the right way instead of jury rigging it. As you already know, if you do it right you usually don't have to do it over or "fix" it again later.

I did mine like Peabody said. Except I use a section of heavy string and ran it all the way through the pipe from side to side. Then fished it down with a wire with a small hook on the end. Then just taped my wire to the string and pulled it all through. It took a little time but now hard. Did have to dig a lot of crap out befor my sting and wire would go easy.

Yeah, Paul. I forgot that the worst part of it all was getting all the old rotten wire and dirt dauber nests out to start with.

Don"t take the bar(s) apart. First, tape the two wires which attach to the lights together at the end. Push them up the base to approximately where the cross bars intersect. Now, take a coat hanger or stiff wire and put a small hook in it that will fit in the light bar from the side. Slide it in and catch the light wires, pull both through that end. Remove the tape from the wires, reinsert the coat hanger in the opposite end of the light bar, pushing it all the way through, attach one light wire to the coat hanger, and pull it out the other direction. Keep a hold on the one unattached wire to prevent it from dissappearing back in the bar. Be patient. It may take a couple of tries. This is the way I did it. Good luck!

Oh come on! Get creative dude!!! Get a coat hanger and ram it through, drill a hole, don't even run inside the pipe, I don't know... Ya gotta realize that sometimes the crap that rolled out of factory should have been flushed down the toilet. Original is for the birds, Mass manufactured made CHEAP products. Not the BEST products. Do it your own clever way and it will surely be an award winning improvement. just my .02 all in fun

Doesn't look like you have very much knowledge of old IH products.
