Would a 1951 M have a post mounted regulator or would it have been on the generator? Also since mine has been converted to 12 volt--does any one have a working 6 volt generator and all mounting brackets?

Scootch,

I just purchased a 6 volt M generator off a working tractor that had a generator mounted regulator. I actually want to take my system to a 12 volt (have 6volt on My Oliver 70 and not excited about it) so a trade maybe a good deal.

Let me know what you think. I could have my local rebuld shop test it out before I send it.

Why not get a MD generator or have another converted to 12 volt? Looks the same, battery stays up, and starts so much easier.
