Yes, the one on the left is mine. These two are only about 6 serial numbers apart.

Yes IH made a few white demo tractors including for sure Cubs, Super As and Cs painted white for a mid century sales permotions at the louisville factory. I am reading this out of Guy Fays Book as we speak. If you ever run across it its the letter series tractors by guy Fay and Andy Krausharr. If you ever run across this book buy it . I know that wally Mart sells them Online for like $14.99 I got mine from there for christmas last year its great.

have perrused this book at several locations. not sure if this is the one or one of the others but none of them have more than a 2 word, that being "the 606", line in any of them.

pretty sure it is guy fays book. the title should have been "letter and SOME number series tractors"

ha ha!

First off, the Letter series book only has letter series tractors, no numbers.

The Hundred Series Originality Guide book has the tractors built from 1954-1958 in them. Cub Lo-Boy through 650.

I've never done a book with the 606 mentioned. Those tractors are more commonly known as the "06 series".

i think your books are great. i love to look at old tractors. i was just very disappointed that there are pages and pages of some and no mention of others not just specifically in yours buty in all of them.

not pointing any fingers but when titles" like the complete book" and "letters and number series" are used one would expect that to be what the book is about.

i understand it is hard to include every one but check it out yourself.

see how many references you can find on the 606.

the "'06 series" includes a far wider range of tractors used for different purposes than the "m" series does yet has a smigdgen of the info and most of that is 806.

you and i both know the 606,706,&806 were far to divergent to be lumped any more than the letter series should be lumped.

never the less, this is meant only as constructive critisism and should not be construed as scathing critsism, as i have very much respect for your work.

You need to get your facts straight before you start criticizing. The book you refer to is called "Original Farmall Hundred Series 1954-1958. Note the 1958, Guy's book intentially stops with the 450/650 and does not include the later 4 and 6 cylinder tractors. No 140/240, 460/560, etc, certainly no 06 series. If you want to read a book about the 460/560--up,including the 06 series plus some of the 00, 30, and 50 series that Guy's book covers buy Ken Updike's "International Harvester Tractors 1955-1985. Guy also has a book called "Farmall Tractors in the 1950's that covers the 460/560/660 plus some foreign-made ones. One book will not do it, but darn near everything is covered in the various books by Guy and Ken.
