Fuel Sediment bowl and gas tank Question?

I cleaned my fuel sediment bowl and now I can't remember which goes on first, the little rubber gasket and then the screen filter, or vice versa? Also, there is a little metal disk shaped thing inside the fuel inlet that goes into the fuel bowl. It can be pulled out, but it is very tight inside the inlet. Is this part of the fuel bowl assembly, or should I just take it out? I wonder if this had to do with my poor fuel flow on top of the sediment issues.

Also, I cleaned out the fuel tank last night and a lot of little stuff came out, but the inside of the tank is perfect, still looks like shiny new metal. I heard something like steel shot or a bb rolling around inside behind the compartments or baffles in the tank and I couldn't get it out. But that doesn't really matter because I doubt it could get into the fuel bowl anyway. I then blew it out with the compressor. IS there anything else I should think about doing to the tank before I put it all back together and fill it up again?

Im almost willing to bet that the little disc thing, which I would take out, btw,is another one moving around in the tank, may be what was used at one time or another to clean out the tank. You may need a new gasket for the bowl.

Well, I was trying to find my spare fuel bowl because I have 2 or 3 of them to see if they have that same little metal washer thing in the inlet. The screen is perfect and very clean, so it should be fine. Heck there was nothing in it when I took it off.

There was no screen in mine when I took it apart and replaced the gasket/screen....that plus the screen at the carb inlet was snipped off too....so its a miracle it didnt swallow something big and plug it up.
