Removing the lid on a 300U's Hydraulic Reservoir,do you have to remove the Hydra Touch control valves?
I'm planning ahead for when(ever) I can get around to that..

I did, because the hoses were stubborn and wouldn't budge, besides, I wanted to get a coat of paint on the reservoir. Just remove the bolts, I think there are 4 bolts on each set of valves (I had three control valves and the pressure relief/regulator valve). Those bolts thread into the reservoir. There are O-rings that seal the ports, you will probably need new ones when you put it back together. Standard BUna-N O-rings will work just fine. When I did mine I just let the valves hang on the hoses when I unbolted them, lifted the reservoir cover up with a cherry picker engine hoist.

I removed mine, hooked a hoist to the rafters and lifted straight up. Good luck. Mark

It might be easier to disconnect the valves than to fight with the lines.
