with respect to the "farmall" badges for this series: the letters appear to be painted black. is this correct? are the letters outlined with anything or is just the indented part painted and the rest left unpainted? thanks.

yep thats what I mean, couldn't find picture of that in my hard drive, thought I had it LOL. :o)
BTW got the engine together on the 43 H yesterday, all buttoned up just need to rebuild the Carb now an set values, put back tires on an she's ready to fly again :o) seems like on this one it was always two steps back to get one step forward Gurrrrr rrrrr rrr

Numbers were silver backround was red, here is a 340D rowcrop I owned an sold to Farmer Bob here on YT, he restored from the ground up, it looks better than when it came from the factory I believe.
