The other day I was putting equipment away for the winter with my 1066. I was hooking up to somthing, when I noticed oil running fast out from under the seat. I removed the tin around the rear of the auxillery valves, and sure enough, one was leaking out of the hole where you adjust unlatching pressure. I've dealt with this before, and figured that the tiny o-ring on the unlatching piston was blown. I was able to stop the leak by putting the valve lever the in "float" position. I used the tractor all day, then parked it. Today I used it again, and found that the leak had stopped. I operated the valve with the leak in every position, and everything was perfect. What gives?

Mornin' Jim,

Bet you need the little o-rings again; they seem to have a short life expectancy for some reason, especially if you use the remotes intermittently over time.

I've got the same identical problem, but as you can see, the little o-rings are way down on my list of things to do.

Me thinks I've got a torn jounce bumper (not to mention the ratty seat.

And, I'm really wondering if that center link chain is adjusted quite right? :>)

Have a good one,

Allan

The unlatchen valve piston might have a nick in that o/ring and it rolled a bit and stopped the leak but it will start agin you can bet on that.
