I just bought a 154 that the clutch does not want to disengage, it looks like the fingers that push on the throw out bearing are worn out or missing something. doe's anyone know if they are available and what kind of job to change them? Thanks Dave

The fingers are part of the pressure plate. To replace the fingers you need to split the tractor. $200- ball park figure for a rebuilt pressure plate, throw out bearing, and driven disk.

The throw out bearing is a piece of carbon and needs to be replaced with the pressure plate.

Have the pressure plate set up/adjusted before you install it in the tractor.

The parts are still available. I recently purchased the parts from the IH dealer - Guess what they were made in India. You can get the same parts cheaper from one of the advertisers on this site.

It's not a big deal to split the Cub. If you have the equipment somewhere around 3 or 4 hours to split and another 3 hours to put it back together.

Accually, the fingers are pushed down by the throw out bearing.IF you fingers are shot then most likely the throwout bearing is what wore them out.I agree with the other post, just change it all and be done with it for a while,I did and was worth the effort since you have to take it down a good ways anyhow.

Just the fingers? Why? If the fingers are gone, who know's what's left of the clutch! You could go through all the trouble of changing the fingers, only to find out that the clutch is shot.

Just split 'er and change the clutch and pressure plate.
