I have found what appears to be a Farmall MDV locked up in a barn. Fella that owns it says that he has not had it out of the barn in about 15 years but used it for tobacco in the 50's and 60's. Seems to be in used shape but complete. Anyone know what an MDV would go for? Personally, I have never heard of an MDV.

Robert or mrhighcrop,
I have been looking for a MDV for a little while now, not easy to find in the north part of the country! Anyway if this one or another is for sale(running or not) I would be interested in purchasing one. There should be a link to my email if you feel like contacting me.
Thanks

I'm not sure if he is selling this tractor or not.
I have only talked to him about the tractor simply b/c I have never seen one. If he is going to sell, I think that he would want a pretty high price for it. It's in really good shape and barn kept. It hasn't been ran in about 15 years though, so I know that I would have to take it down and remove all the fuel varnish. Going to go see him again this weekend. maybe I can work something out..

You have found yourself a diamond in the rough!

It's a M diesel with the high clearance axles. Check the serial number tag to be sure- should be stamped MDV. I'm not sure how many MDVs were made but there was only 1600 MVs. Now if it was a Super MDV with the TA there was only 60 or so built.

You should be able to get aleast $2500 for the unrestored tractor... probably more on ebay.
