I have a 1954 Super WD-9 is it positive or negitive ground? I would like to have it negitive ground with an altanator. Anyone see a problem with this?

Your SWD-9 electrics would have been shipped positive ground from the factory. However it'll work fine converted to negative ground. Just swap the leads at the ammeter - otherwise the ammeter read "backward" after you convert to negative ground.

Except if the regulator says "positive ground" on it, it will not last as long. Something about the two sets of points being made of different materials. This applies to 6 volt systems, I suppose the 12 volt WD9 would be the same, but not sure.
