I was driving by Wenger's in Myerstown, PA today and there was a 1468 on their lot for sale. Thought it may be of interest to someone on here, not every day you see one, let alone for sale.

When I was younger my brother and I bought a used 1568 and went through the engine and put a new paint job on. We thought it was pretty neat, because it was different. We had trouble burning out the mufflers and finally just put straight pipes on it. It did not have a cab and you couldn't stand to drive it without ear muffs on. Come to think of it, you couldn't stand to drive it with the ear muffs on either. The ear muffs would get hot and sweaty and after wearing them eight hours you would have a headache anyway. It's still a pretty sweet tractor though, and we still have it, but we don't use it to farm around town after dark.

We run straights on all our tractors and try to farm the places closest to town only after dark. WE try to give the 'city folks' a taste of the hours a farmer has to work.

You must be young and invincible yet. Give it a few more years and your hearing will rue the day you farmed with straight pipes.

And, if they complain, you can't hear them anyway.

For what it is worth I could not hear them complain without the straights. Almost deaf from running straights on a truck for 25 plus years in the oilfield. Plus I have not heard much that city folks have to say around here that is worth hearing anyway.

Eric, did you get grill new or used? Looking for grill for CIH485. Think all the 85 series will fit, but get no answer from parts request services.
