I have a lot of slack in the stearing box. It seems worse on the right side and from looking at the book it is the one driven from the left side, is that correct? Can I use the excentric on the right side cover to get it to mesh better to bring the right side closer to the left. Any help would be appricated. Mark

Sounds like you're speaking of a 350 Utility ? The right side shaft is driven by the steering wheel shaft/worm gear. The left shaft is driven by the rt. shaft as you've said. The eccentrics are for adjusting the lash in the two shafts. There are two of them left side of gearbox. There are also two adjusting screws on either side of box for adjusting the endplay of shafts. Before adjusting the eccentrics be sure the remove the two dowels in box. The origonal dowels from factory are 1/2". Ideally after adjustment, you're supposed to redrill dowel holes and replace with 5/8 dowels. Have adjusted a few of these with good results if they're not too worn. Good Luck!!

Hello,
Yes it is a 350U and this evening I lifted the top of the hyd tank off . The screen is kinda dirty but not as pluged as I thought it might be.. My psi. is low and maybe with new fluid it will be better but I'm not holding my breath. I had 450 psi with it at 3/4 throttle checking at the auxillary port and I think it should be more. Thanks Mark
