I am rebuilding a 4 cyl. IH flat head I have had to remove the mag. It is the same as the one on my H, are there any timing markes on the gears that drive the rotor? or do you have tojust get no. 1 to tdc. and then set the impulse to fire at tdc.? thanks ..

For 1 Hs run H4 mags and cubs run J4 mags Unless its a bailer motor or power plant or something. 2 if you had the rotor gear out yes there is timing marks. There should be a L and R on the rotor gear you match it up for CW or CCW rotation. Ans the gear it seats against has a tooth thats filed down a tad you put that tooth inbetween the L or R for what ever rotation you have . In your case it would be the R JON
