My dad recently purchased an old rough looking F12 to restore. I'm trying to collect some information for him about the tractor. Does anyone know the paint scheme for this tractor serial number 35715. I read somewhere on the internet that IH changed to the traditional red in 1936, but some of the tractors produced late 35 where painted red. If anyone has any advice on manuals, restorations tips etc... please let me know.
Thanks
Weyman T.

17411-48659, 1935. in november of 1936 they officialy changed from grey to red. [paint it the color you want]. engine parts are available. reprints of manuals are also available. lots of places to find both on the web. pg

If you're looking for the closest color that I could find to original in 'rattle can' formulation, there's a brand called Plastikote Autobody something or other. Anyway, the color number is #1006, medium or dark grey ( I forget the name, but the number's right). Also, as I'm somewhat of a dork, I saved all my expenses with sources in excel format for the 34' F-12 I did last year. email me for pics and the excel sheet if you want it. -Z-
