Farmall H Transmission Leak
I have begun replacing the lower seal of my transmission between the lift all pump and the bottom transmission shaft. After I removed the small drive spindle, I am looking at a "T" shaped coupling coming out of the transmission. In order to replace the lower seal this must be removed, but I do not see how. Is it threaded on the shaft? If so, what is the best way to break it loose to remove the seal flange? Is this "T" shaped coupling attached to the shaft some other way? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Dennis

Put the transmission in gear and lock the brakes to hold the shaft while you are removing the coupler. Put a bar in the slot & turn counter-clockwise to loosen.
Clean the coupler surface where the seal rides to insure no damage will be done to the seal on re-assembly; lube the seal lip before installing the coupler.
