I am working on my grandpa's cub and it only runs with the choke pulled almost all of the way out. It doesn't smoke at all when the choke is pulled out either. I have set the screw on the carb and it runs like new if you pull the choke out. Anybody else had this problem? I have taken the carb apart and cleaned it (including the little passages) it seemed to help a bit for a while (about 2 trips around the barnyard)but now is back to it's old tricks. When you put it under a load it will just slow down and die. I finally got it where it was almost pefect and it started all over again. Anybody know what I should do? Thanks

Assuming you have a good fuel flow to the carb, you have some loose dirt that is moving around inside it or some dirt in your fuel line/tank that is getting into it. go to your local auto parts store and get some carb soak to put it in for a while, then blow it out good. May also need to clean out the tank good.

That's what I was thinking because when you turn on the gas you can see alot of little rust flakes rushing into the sediment bowl. Thanks for your advice and I will try it this weekend and see if it helps. Thanks
