How would I go about draining the fluid from my tires? Is the fluid toxic? Do I need to take it somewhere? Thanks.

52 H,

The local tire stores in my area charge $25 a tire to pump fluid and get this: they will gladly take the fluid.

Ya know why? 'Cause they also charge some other poor schmuck $1.50 a gallon for the stuff (plus the pumping charge, of course).

The stuff in your tires is the same stuff the highway dept puts on the icy roads in the winter. They also used to spray it in the summer to abate dust on dirt roads.

Ask your local tire shop what they do with it. Who knows, maybe they want it.
