Having problems removing the crank pin on the crank shaft on my 1931 farmall regular. Banged on it a couple of times with good size hammer but couldnt get it to budge. Do I just need a bigger hammer? Or should I drill it out, or heat? Just trying to get to the front seal so it quits marking its territory. I have worked on SOB (Some Other Brands) tractors but this is my first regular. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Soak it well with penetrant of choice.Have you losened the set screw? Takes a large flat blade screw driver.I had one come out with a few raps of the hammer.Last one I had to drill it out.Be carefull with the torch if you heat it.Too much heat on the end of the crankshaft might not be good.Good Luck!

There is a set screw that holds that pin in place.
