Hello all. I recently bought a 1945 Farmall M which I will use mainly for snow removal. I like the knowledge of the guys on this board and it appears to be a very active board. My M is pretty nice, at least as much as I know about them, which isn't very much!! I looked at about 4 or 5 before I bought this one. Tin is good, paint is not so good, 3 tires are good, one rear is weathered. It has a Swartz wide front that is in perfect condition. DuAl 250 loader which is nice, it has snow wings and a brand new bucket cylinder and brand new live pump with all new hyd. hoses installed. 12 volt system, all seems to work fine and run very good. I have tinkered with it, fixing this and that for about a month now. Of course, now it has stopped snowing every day!! I am sure I will be on this board asking some questions, so I just wanted to "introduce" myself.

Great tractor Rick. I went out a couple of years ago to buy an M. I now have 2 M's and 2 Super M's. Oh this Red Iron Bug will sneak up on you. My wife is fond of saying "We don't even have a Faaaaa m" Good luck with your M. Dick in Vermont.

About a half million M's and Super M's built. Someone said all but 2 still running. Welcome to the club. You know about the famous M-club?

As others have said, "Welcome to the best tractor site on the web."

As to the M... great stuff. I stumbled on my M while looking for a front loader, and I'll never part with her. Simple, reliable, and a complete rejection of modernism and the throw-away culture. A manly tractor where women say, "Manly, yes, but I like it too!" Parts availability for the letter series tractors seems to be on the rise, as more newbies discover them.

Welcome!
