The 444/2444 parts listing shows a rear mounted belt pulley as an option. I believe these were made from 1966-1971 or something like that.

Hi, my brother ordered a belt pulley for his 495D
but it only came with 1000 RPM PTO option. Then when he received it, when it was mounted on the left hand side it turned the belt the opposite direction. He was using it for a 3pt mounted buzz saw and there was no way to cross the belt to turn the saw the correct direction. Solution was to have local welding shop build an adpter for his old belt pulley from B414D for 540 PTO.

The IH 66 series were the last tractors to have a factory belt pulley option.

Whoa!! Which 66's? I frankly cannot imagine a 766, 966, 1066, 1466, or 1566 with a belt pully attachment. Maybe, MAYBE a 666 as I used to run my neighbor's quite a bit, but I really didn't expect anything past 560 except maybe a rare option on 706. Just wondering, because I can't imagine our ol' 225 hp 1066 with a belt pully. Makes me laugh picturing it, and I would really like to see an attachment like that.

I believe the 460/560/660 were the last ones with belt pulley. I have never seen a 706/806 with pulley...

I agree with 42FarmallH. Belt pulleys as we know them were on 460, 560, 660. After that, whatever was available was after market. Ok boys your either in or your out!!!!! !!

I disagree. I have a 504 with a belt pulley. It was made by IH. I bought it as new old stock in a crate from a IH dealer. It attaches to the rear like a Cub or A right angle setup. It is in the parts book. The same unit is in the 656 parts book. It is proabaly in the 686 book as well.
