Before you run me out on a rail, I must come out of the closet and admit that I'm an owner of some big ugly machines that ain't quite red, but some of them go varoom and pull stuff thru the dirt to. Just not as well. Questions for the smartest folks on the web!!!!! !!!!! !
Need an engine for a (ahemmmm) Case 1175
1: What is the designation for that engine?
2: What other machines have this same engine (combine maybe?)
3: What other engines are there that will bolt up and work without major mod and what are they in? Any help would be apreciated.
Thanks, pete

Didn't quite catch that, what was that you said about tar?

Pete: Was just over at the Case board checking to see if you had asked the question yet. You may as well ask them, they may not have noticed you over here with that Case question, so you might get off scott free. I suppose if you don't ask them, we could tip them off. Quite frankly, no one here seems to have your answer. Knowing Farmall people as I know them, may I suggest if anyone knew the answer you would have it. So ask the Case people the question, it will not be that painful.

Pete: I think if I were a Case guy I might be slightly hurt, not being asked first. You may well get the feathers ruffled on this one. Whether they get the tar out or not is quite another matter.

Pete, I hardly think any of the boys here would go so far as to "Tar and feather" a guy for asking a question here. In fact, Its obvious that you consider us here as subject matter experts. Most of us knew better than to buy some of the other colors to begin with. That being said, I think the answer to your question may be more correctly answered in the Case forum, but then you may find someone here that can help you. Try both. Hopefully they wont "Tar and feather" you in the Case forum for not asking them first.
