I was wondering does the 1206 have farmall decals or did it have international decals on the side? I was also wondering is it possible to get it down to 9,000lbs and if so what needs to come off to get it there? Thanks for your help Jeremy

Check out the 8000 lb 856 IH puller in the photo ads.It has the pto and working hydraulics. One of my 1206 rowcrops says Farmall on the side and the other says International.

Row crop versions should say Farmall. Standard/wheel type should say International. International has headlights in grille, big curved fenders and shorter wheelbase. Farmall has either flat top fenders with lights in fenders or no fenders with lights on side of gas tank area and either tricycle front or row crop wide front axle.

I know a guy that gets his 1206 down to less than 8500 lbs. He can usually get about 300 lbs of weights to put on it. No pto or hydraulics. There is a fiber glass front you can put on it to replace the radiator housing. Saves a lot of weight.

I don't know how the 1206 is supposed to be, but our 1256 says "International" on the white hood pieces and then says "Farmall" above "1256" on the other emblems...

In the 06 series, the row crop tractors said FARMALL on the side of the hood and 706, 806, 1206 on the lower side of the radiator panel. The standard/wheel tractors said INTERNATIONAL on the side of the hood and 706, 806, 1206 on the lower side of the radiator panel. When the 56 series came out IHC changed the way they badged the tractors. The early 656's were badged just like the 06 series, as they came out before the 756, 856, and 1256, but when the 756, 856, 1256 came out IHC changed to putting INTERNATIONAL on the side of the hood on both Farmall and International models. On the row crop models they put FARMALL in small letters over the 656, 756, 856, 1256 on the lower side of the radiator panel. On the standard/wheel models this just said 656, 756, 856, 1256. In the IHC order book they were still referred to as Farmall models, International models, or industrial models (which were also International with a 2 in front of the model number such as 2656, 2756, 2856, or 21256 and standard yellow paint).

I found around my area nobody can get new or new old stock metal farmall emblems-your best bet is to go to your local salvage yard and look through the tin. Hopefully there is side tins with the farmall emblem on them still-in good shape.

As far as weight, if you run press steel wheels, a narrow front, remove the fenders, front weight bracket (if one on it) and the 3-pt arms you should make it. Seen a 1456 with that stuff removed and it made the 9000. Mine only goes 10,500 with all that on it and 20.8's.

Good Luck.

The row crop tractors were Farmalls .The standards or wheatlands said International they both used metal side plates.Early 1206 used a 1206 decal.Later used metal emblem.

The ones Ive seen were rowcrops and they said farmall, As far as getting to 9000 lbs, I spose take off fenders, 3pt, wide front, change cast wheels to dual rims, and if you want to really go ape sh--, the pto gears ,unnecessary hydralic stuff, the seat, air cleaner housing, ,I even seen a tractor with no starter just to make weight, Keep the fat a-- mother-in-law off helps the most,,,,
